We recognize your privacy is important to you and we work very hard to make sure that it is protected. We take the trust you place in us seriously. This policy spells out what we collect and what we do with the information. If you have any questions about this Policy, please contact us through one of the means available at our Contact page.
Information we collect and how we use it
When you visit our website, our host’s servers automatically record information that your browser sends with each request. These logs may include information such as your specific request (i.e. page, image), Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and language, and the date and time of your request. These logs are stored temporarily on our hosts servers under directories we have access to. We may use this information to determine the order of our testing procedures, date and time of maintenance procedures, etc. We also use the IP address as described below.
IP address at time of download
We log the IP address from the HTML headers each time an evaluation copy is downloaded. The IP is logged along with the type of evaluation and the expiration date of the evaluation. Later requests from the same IP are looked up and the same evaluation copy is returned for their use. This allows us to control the expiration date of evaluation copies, which are limited to two weeks.
From time-to-time, we may use the information present in the HTML headers to analyze our technical network and product offerings. Your IP address may be used to determine the geographic origination of requests for visual presentation of global interest in our products and services, but at no time will your individual IP be disclosed.
Customer contact information
We will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others except as described in this Policy. Other than the use of HTML headers by third-party analytical engines and payment processing with a third-party application interface, we do not explicitly share information with any one.
We will not share the personal information you provide with third-parties without your permission, unless it is to: (i) respond to duly authorized information requests of police and governmental authorities; (ii) comply with any law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; (iii) help prevent fraud or enforce or protect our rights and assets; or (iv) protect the rights, property and safety of our employees, customers or the public. Should we decide to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize our business activities, we may be required to disclose personal information to prospective or actual purchasers. If such a situation arises, we will seek appropriate protection for the information involved in the transaction(s).
Email and other forms of direct communications
When you send us an email, postal letter, or fax, we may retain the communication in order to process your inquiry, respond to your request and improve our services. If required by law to provide you with additional information, we may provide the required information to you by email at the email address you specified when you originally licensed the product, by access to our website that will be designated in an email notice sent to you at the time the information is available, or by access to our website that will be generally designated in advance for this purpose.
If you contact us via email, postal letter, fax, or telephone, we may access your contact information for validation. We will not share your information with any caller or contact, unless otherwise provided for in this policy such as if directed by law, despite asking for confirmation before proceeding with the support efforts.
We restrict access to the personal information collected to employees who need to know that information in order to support you. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet their obligations.
We make every effort to secure personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our security measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices as well as physical access to the systems that store the personal data.
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption when collecting information or exchanging it with third-parties for your transactions.
We make every effort to ensure that the systems we use to collect personal information are accurate and complete, but we depend on our users to provide complete, accurate information via our systems. If your information changes, we rely on you to keep us up-to-date.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time to remain in compliance, etc. Changes will be announced via our RSS Feed.
