Bugs Dashboard uses a hierarchy of classifications, projects, components and milestones to restrict what is displayed on the page. This should not be confused with access rights — those are determined by your login to Bugzilla. The restrictions, shown below, determine what projects, components and/or milestones will be included in the various widgets on a dashboard or report.
Classifications are not enabled by default in Bugzilla, but it’s extremely easy to do enable them.
Log into Bugzilla as an Administrator, click on the Administration hyperlink, then select Parameters. From the list on the left, select “Bug Fields” and enable the use of classifications.
Return to the Administration panel and you’ll find the Classifications link is now enabled. Selecting that will show you the default “Unclassified” details.
You can either add a new classification, then add your products to that or you can simply run with the Unclassified grouping. Bugs Dashboard simply needs the hierarchy, how you arrange it is your choice.
